Most schools put a wall of five-star quotes on this page. We have none yet, and this page says so.
Our first Foundations cohort has not graduated yet. That means there are no graduate testimonials, no student portfolios, no she-booked-four-clients-in-week-nine stories, and no before-and-after galleries, because none of those things exist yet. Everything that appears here will be real.
What we can show you is the standard the teaching is held to, exactly what you will walk out with, and precisely what will appear on this page as soon as it is real.
The work behind the teaching
Celegant Hair Edmonton is a working braiding salon. The instructor teaching your program braids in it. The standard you will be trained to is the standard our own paying clients are served to: protective braids, twists, cornrows, crochet and locs, on over 150 clients a month across a team of more than 8 stylists.

Every image on this page is labelled with who did the work. Instructor work is labelled instructor work. Student work will be labelled student work. The line stays clear.
What you will leave Foundations with
These are not testimonials. They are deliverables: the concrete assets that exist in your hands on the last day of the ten weeks.
- 60 supervised contact hours
- Ten weeks, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 3:30pm to 6:30pm, in the room, with an instructor watching your hands.
- A completed capstone
- The final module of the program is an assessed capstone piece. You build it; you keep it.
- A finished-work portfolio
- Photographed work from across the program: the evidence you show a client or a salon owner who asks whether you can do this.
- A Professional Certificate in Braiding Foundations
- A Celegant Braiding Academy professional skills certificate. It is not a provincial trade certificate or licence.
- Working knowledge of safety, sanitation and scalp science
- Tension standards, sectioning discipline, tool hygiene, and the consultation that prevents the problem before it happens.
- Beginner-complete competence across six style families
- Cornrows, single braids (knotless and regular), twists, wigs and weaves, crochet, and locs. Beginner-complete means you can finish each one on your own, safely and to standard.
- A service and pricing footing
- What each style takes you in time, and how that translates into what you can charge.

Finish the program and you leave with three things: your certificate for the program you completed, the capstone you produced, and the kit you worked on all the way through. The kit is yours to keep and take to your first client.

Week 4 against week 10
Side-by-side photographs of the same student work, six weeks apart. This is the single most useful thing a prospective beginner can see, and it is the first thing we will publish.
Named graduate stories
Full name, photograph, and a specific outcome, not great course, highly recommend. What they could do before, what they can do now, what they charged for first, and how long it took. Long form, in their own words, published only with written permission.
I would highly suggest anyone looking to learn the skill of braiding to take the masterclass. It is very informative and most definitely worth the price! The instructor/owner is amazing and it is a great class!

Our rules for publishing student work
Written down, so you know what to expect if you become one of the students on this page.
- Written permission, every time. No image, quotation or outcome appears here without the student signed, specific consent for publication. Consent is opt-in, never assumed, and never a condition of enrolment.
- Named or not at all. We do not publish anonymous testimonials. An unattributed quotation is not evidence.
- No aggregated third-party reviews. Anything we show you comes from a named person who agreed to it, not from scores scraped off review platforms. If you want to know what other people think, ask us for a graduate to speak to once graduates exist.
- No paid, incentivised or scripted testimonials. Nobody receives a discount, a refund or a kit in exchange for a quote.
- You can withdraw. If you appear on this page and later change your mind, tell us and we will remove you.
- Instructor work is always labelled as instructor work.
If you are in a photograph on this site and you want it taken down, email info@celegantbraidingacademy.com and we remove it from this website and our own social accounts within 5 business days. You do not have to give a reason.

You do not have to take a decision of this size on the strength of a website. Come to the Unit 316 location, meet the instructor, look at the room, and ask whatever you want.
